Hey Reader,

September into October is always a whirlwind for me, and this year is no exception.

Hearth & Hollow was just accepted into the Vancouver Farmer's Market + Holiday Market, which means it's go time for getting our permit paperwork in and fundraising to get our first batch made.

This morning, I'm prepping my item for the local library's fundraiser and auction - a quarter's worth of vegetable transplants from my plant CSA in a gorgeous ceramic planter. (That's Community Supported Agriculture, for the uninitiated.)

And last but not least, I just wrapped the last of my Pay What You Can sessions for 2025.

I wanted to share this message I got from from Jessica Groop-Santise, because this is such a common thing for so many of the small business owners I work with. (Shared with permission!)

Here’s the truth: most of the time, you don’t need a new funnel or some perfect strategy. You just need to take the assets you already have - the half-finished video, the messy b-roll, the thing you convinced yourself wasn’t polished enough - and put it out there.

Jessica's experience is exactly what I want for everyone I work with: that lightbulb moment when it clicks that the hard part is already done - and there's nothing to be ashamed of if you've had the cobbler's kids situation in your biz.

Got something you’ve been stalling on? Book a session with me here, and let's get it done. (Want me to do it for you? Ask me about a VIP day instead. 2 available in Q4.)

Client Glow-up

Referral Worthy alum Kaitlyn Corse hit last week’s Quarterly Planning Workshop, connected the dots, and launched travel coaching. Think itineraries with intention. I’m so here for it.

Referral Worthy Season 2

Last week, the rest of the season dropped, and I am DELIGHTED to share this episode with Meg Casebolt with you. If you've been trying to figure out SEO in the age of AI, and it's got you flummoxed, listen in. (Also if you need a new spicy read.)

Whole new podcast???

What can I say? I've got a lot to say lately, especially when it comes to dirt, so I'll be spending the next several weeks in Sound Before Spotlight, working out the scope of the new project before it launches in 2026.

Got an idea for a pod yourself? Join me in the class and get it ready for launch.

Last Thoughts

My son and I were at Kindred Homestead Supply's five-year anniversary market, and I’ve really fallen in love with this community - and with being a regular face at the market.

It’d been 13 weeks since my last one, and I got the sweetest updates: a woman who bought my orange currant tomato plants told me her three-year-old granddaughter loves picking the tiny oranges with her. And the vintage-clothing queen down the way got a second flush of bell peppers from the starts she grabbed from me months ago.

The weather was perfect, the music was good, and I sold my first Plant CSA share.

Not every day can be market day, but it was such a gorgeous reminder of how good things can be in the face of it all.

Don't forget what's good.
