Hey Reader,

How are these cooler days treating you? While I'm ready for sweater weather, the adjustment had me breaking out the space heater for my office.

I spent Saturday tromping through the mud with my family out at the pumpkin patch at BiZi Farm, and not gonna lie, my hips are still feeling it! That's what I get for putting my giant toddler in the hiking backpack, I suppose.

Anyway, I hope you get out into this week's sunshine with me! Here's this week's update.

Upcoming markets

Hearth & Hollow was accepted to the Vancouver Farmer's Market! It'll still be a few months until you see us there, but our plan is to be first to market with your spring veggie starts. Stay tuned!

What's growing

I've got a variety of fall starts in the greenhouse ready for your garden!

We'll have:

• Broccoli
• Bibb lettuce
• Bok Choi
• Spinach
• Curly Kale
• Leeks
• Peas
• Celery
• Lots of herbs, but they aren't quite ready yet.

Raspberries are available for porch pickup! These are an unconfirmed variety, but they are extremely productive every June, mostly thornless, and I think are Willamette.

What I'm listening to

This week, I was going through some of the old John Kempf archives, and I found this great episode with Cate Havstad-Casad who lives in the same town as my best friend, Nina.

I text Nina about it, and lo and behold, she knew her already! Small world.

What I'm making

Pickles. Good. Lord. SO MANY PICKLES! My greenhouse cucumbers are still not done, and I'm grateful to have some flavor packets on hand to keep expediting them.

I'm offering a quarterly plant CSA in 2026!

It's just like a regular CSA, except instead of food, you get vegetable and herb starts.

You can either choose your own plants, or I can put together a selection for you. Plants will be ready for pickup beginning in February, but you can pick them up anytime between Feb 15-April 15.
