Trust Signals

the reinvention co

Hey Reader,

Whether or not you identify as an astro girlie, I bet you're feeling the call of Big Fall Energy.

Enter... Friday's feisty lil New Moon in Virgo.

She's sharp, she's organized, and she's here to get. shit. done.

And in today's edition of Trust Signals? I'm going to help you do just that.

Let's get started by clearing out your godforsaken inbox so you can actually think.

Easy Unsubscribe in Gmail

So I discovered this handy new tab in Gmail yesterday.

Underneath Categories, it now says, "Manage Subscriptions."

Click it, and it'll show you all of the things you're subscribed to -with a handy unsubscribe button right next to it.

You are welcome.

Notion now has Offline Mode!

So Notion not having an offline mode has been the only reason I've kept other notes apps on my phone.

My husband and I love scheming and dreaming out in the woods, and having somewhere reliable to store those notes is too important when inspo strikes to leave it to a dicey (or non-existent) signal.

Enter, Notion Offline Mode.

Simply enable offline mode on the pages you want access to on your device of choice, confirm your downloads, and you're ready to go.

Descript's lil robot is ridic helpful.

A huge reason why it took me so long to commit to a podcast is because I was so stressed about sound editing.

My first season, I paid for help editing my podcast, but I knew what I was asking for edits-wise wasn't anything complicated, so I finally bit the bullet and got Descript.

Now, I'm pretty tech savvy and pick up software fast, but what I didn't expect to love was the built-in AI tool, lovingly named Underlord. (Come on, that shit's hilarious. What a genius branding move.)

If you click on this photo, you can see what I asked Underlord to do - tasks that used to amount to a couple of hours of work per short podcast episode.

Underlord can handle 95% of it without any additional input from me.

The best part? The price is right at $30/month or about $300 annually. This is the best money I pay for software every month.

I know I sound like a sales rep at this point, BUT I have to show you one last thing - because Underlord will automagically create your short-form videos for you.

How cool is that? Just set your branding up, and boom, 80% of your marketing assets can be created within this single tool.

Was this the push you need to start creating more audio/video content? Try Descript for free here.

Overwhelmed and overcommitted?

There's no better place to start than a Stop Doing List. This is my version of Jim Collins' classic exercise in Good to Great, and there's a podcast episode to go with it.
