Hey Reader,

So I finally read The Alchemist.

I’ve seen it on so many self-help shelves over the years but never actually picked it up. After seeing it on Kindle Unlimited the other day, I was out of excuses not to.

Halfway in, it felt like the book had grabbed me by the shoulders and shaken me. I put it down to take a walk through the woods with tears in my eyes, confronted once again by the fact that I couldn’t keep ignoring - that I wasn’t living out what I was meant to do.

Clearly, I'm not the only one whose had a strong reaction to it. The Alchemist has broken just about every record in publishing: translated into 89 languages, tens of millions of copies sold. Wanting to learn more about him and the book, I pulled up an Oprah interview.

You know how long it took him to write The Alchemist? Two weeks. TWO WEEKS! Granted, it’s a short read, but the way it reads like a divine download cannot be denied.

I love listening to Oprah interview people; she’s the best in the business. Hearing Paulo Coelho's utter joy come through, especially when she asked about his own fears and the universal fear so many writers and artists have in common after a certain level of success...

Will I be able to do it again?

Elizabeth Gilbert addressed it in a TED talk after Eat Pray Love.

Even in my favorite musical, Waitress, there’s a line that hits like a truck every time I hear it: “What if I never see myself being anything more than I’ve already become?"

What if this is it? What if this is as much as I’m capable of? What if this is the best I can do?

Those questions always drag up the thing I'd been afraid to say out loud until recently, and it sure as hell isn't about talent.

It’s money. It's always money.

I've discounted ideas that didn’t take off immediately, called it a sign, and dropped them. I've gone back to marketing on repeat, because I still believe it’s the thing that will pay, which makes it the thing I reach for first. And frankly, that belief is hurting a lot more than just my career at this point.

Capitalism has had me in a chokehold since I was a kid, constantly worried that money is the only gateway to freedom, peace, and success. Fuck that.

It's time to take my power back and do something different - for me, my family, and my community.

And that requires a whole new plan and a different kind of planning.

Real productivity is not just “getting things done.” It is getting more of what matters done, which means I have to decide what matters or the calendar, clients, whatever will decide for me.

And that’s exactly the spirit I’m bringing to the newly revamped Quarterly Planning Workshop. It's designed for the people who are ready to choose the work that really matters and giving it the time and structure it deserves so it finally happens.

If you're ready to stop waiting to do your great work, this is the room to be in.

I want you to bring your life's work. The project that occupies your thoughts while you're plodding through something you have to do. The work that can no longer wait.

In this 90-minute session, we'll review what's working, what's not, and start planning what's next. With plenty of time to ask questions and review your plans, I'm excited to partner with you to make Q4 as magic + meaningful as you mean to.

Snag your seat
